Senior Event Manager / Producer (Full Time)

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Based), with occasional required travel for events
Status: Full Time, OT Exempt W-2 Employee
This role requires full-time engagement, typically 40+ hours per week, depending on the project cycle
Goal start date: June 15, 2026
Pay Rate: $75,000-$90,000 per year, commensurate with experience

Summary of Role
Erin Leonard Events (ELE) is seeking a Senior Event Manager / Producer to lead the planning and execution of conferences, retreats, galas, trade shows, meetings, and special events while serving as a strategic and dependable partner to clients and internal teams.
This role is ideal for an experienced event professional who is ready to take ownership of complex projects, independently lead on-site execution, manage client relationships, and guide project teams through fast-paced, high-touch event environments.
The Senior Event Manager / Producer combines strong project management and production skills with excellent communication, leadership, operational judgment, and client service. This person thrives in dynamic environments, remains calm under pressure, anticipates challenges before they arise, and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, polished, and highly organized event experiences.
This role reports to the Director of Events & Production and works closely with the CEO, Event Project Managers, coordinators, contractors, vendors, and client teams.
This position is primarily remote, with significant on-site work and travel required throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Project Leadership
Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of conferences, retreats, galas, trade shows, meetings, and special events from kickoff through post-event wrap-up
Oversee project timelines, deliverables, budgets, staffing plans, and production schedules across assigned events
Guide coordinators, contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure projects remain organized, proactive, and on track
Maintain project momentum by proactively tracking tasks, approvals, deadlines, and outstanding decisions
Lead internal and client meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting facilitation, follow-up communication, and action item tracking
Coordinate vendors, venues, production partners, registration logistics, attendee communications, and event materials as needed
Support development and maintenance of run of show documents, production schedules, and onsite staffing plans
Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, operational gaps, staffing concerns, or timeline issues
Client Leadership & Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and projects
Build strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, strategic thinking, and follow-through
Guide clients through event planning decisions, changing priorities, and problem-solving scenarios
Help ensure projects align with client goals, budgets, audience needs, and event vision
Represent ELE professionally across client interactions, on-site environments, and external partnerships
On-Site Event Leadership
Lead on-site execution for assigned events, including venue coordination, staffing management, troubleshooting, vendor oversight, production flow, and overall guest experience
Supervise coordinators, contractors, temporary event staff, and on-site teams as assigned
Maintain calm, organized, and solutions-oriented leadership during live event environments
Ensure on-site execution aligns with ELE standards for professionalism, communication, and guest experience
Team Collaboration & Leadership
Support and mentor coordinators and junior team members across assigned projects
Delegate tasks clearly while maintaining visibility into project progress and deliverables
Collaborate closely with the Event PM & Operations Lead and leadership team to ensure operational alignment across projects
Reinforce accountability, proactive communication, and follow-through across project teams
Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and solutions-oriented team culture
Business Development & Organizational Growth
Support the CEO and Director of Events & Production on business development efforts, proposal strategy, and project scoping as needed
Participate in prospective client meetings, site visits, and discovery conversations when appropriate
Identify opportunities to expand services, strengthen client relationships, and support long-term client retention
Help contribute ideas that strengthen ELE’s event offerings, client experience, and positioning in the marketplace
Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, vendors, contractors, and industry partners
Other Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Events or the CEO
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
5-7+ years of experience in event planning, event production, project management, experiential events, conferences, or related fields
Proven experience in independently leading projects and on-site event execution
Strong client management and communication skills
Previous experience overseeing coordinators, contractors, temporary staff, or project teams preferred
Strong organizational skills, operational judgment, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
Excellent problem-solving skills and calm decision-making under pressure
Experience with event technology and collaboration tools such as Cvent, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Asana, or similar platforms
Experience supporting conferences, retreats, galas, trade shows, or high-profile events preferred
Willingness to travel and lead on-site event execution as needed
