Event Project Manager (Full Time) - Multiple Positions Open

Reports to: Director of Events & Production
Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Based), with occasional required travel for events
Status: Full-Time, Exempt W-2 Employee
This role requires full-time engagement, typically 40+ hours per week, depending on the project cycle
Goal start date: March 30 or ASAP
Pay Rate: $65,000-$70,000 per year

Summary of Role
The Event Project Manager is responsible for owning event projects from planning through execution while leading both client and internal teams. This role requires a confident project lead who can manage scope, timelines, budgets, and people simultaneously, while also anticipating needs, identifying risks, and recommending strategic improvements.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings structure and clarity to complex projects, and can balance hands-on task execution with managing team members. The Event Project Manager is accountable not just for doing the work, but for ensuring the right work is done by the right people at the right time, with minimal escalation. This role will oversee event coordinators and the project team.
Key Responsibilities
Key Results Area #1: Client & Internal Team Leadership, Meetings, and Communication (Approximately 50% of role)
Serve as the primary lead for assigned event projects, owning day-to-day execution and overall project health
Lead client and internal meetings with clarity, setting agendas with priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and sharing at least 24 hours in advance
Launch and facilitate virtual meetings, documenting decisions, assignments, and deadlines in real time within shared tools
Translate discussions into clear next steps by assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and updating task tracking systems
Maintain consistent internal communication using Slack and project management tools to keep teams aligned and informed
Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project timelines, milestones, and dependencies to keep projects on track and on budget
Monitor project progress proactively and make real-time adjustments to mitigate risks or delays
Anticipate when additional scope or budget may be required to meet project goals or client expectations, and raise recommendations proactively
Key Results Area #2: Project Execution and Tasks (Approximately 40% of role)
Take ownership of key deliverables across assigned projects, ensuring work is completed accurately, on time, and to ELE standards
Lead and/or directly execute project tasks, which may include:
Registration management and reporting
Participant and speaker communications
Budget tracking and reconciliation
Run of show development and updates
Vendor coordination and management
Recording and content capture logistics
Video editing workflows and approvals
Monitoring and responding to participant inquiries
Ensure quality control across all deliverables, proactively addressing issues before they escalate
Key Results Area #3: On-Site Leadership & Team Collaboration (Approximately 10% of role)
Support on-site event production and serve as a senior on-site lead as assigned
Lead show flow, troubleshoot issues in real time, and support guest and client experience
Collaborate with ELE leadership to improve internal templates, systems, and processes
Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture, especially during high-pressure event weeks
Other Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Events or the CEO
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years of experience in or related to event project management, event production, or related roles
Demonstrated experience leading client-facing projects with multiple stakeholders
Strong project management skills, including timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are clear, professional, and proactive
Proven ability to anticipate needs, identify risks, and propose solutions before issues escalate
Comfort working remotely with high autonomy and accountability
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and project management and time-tracking tools
Ability to travel for events and work evenings and weekends as required
Ability to make real-time production decisions on-site
Experience in small, fast-paced teams
Demonstrated ownership of the full event lifecycling from finding a venue to post-event close-out
History of managing budgets over $250,000
Experience leading client relationships
